Our Mission:
The Phoenix Foundation is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence as they rebuild their lives. Our mission is to provide grants that ease the financial burden of securing a home, whether through down payment assistance or rental deposits. We are committed to helping survivors create a safe, stable foundation for their futures, offering financial support that allows them to begin a new chapter with dignity, hope, and a place to call their own.

Be Kind – We meet every survivor with compassion, warmth, and care
-
Faith – We believe in a higher purpose and the promise of healing
-
Elevate – We are here to lift, support, and encourage your fresh start
You’ve already shown strength. You’ve already done the hardest part. Let us walk with you as you begin again, with dignity, hope, and the foundation you deserve.

About Us

Erica Rawls
Founder of Phoenix Foundation Community Cares
Erica Rawls is the founder of Phoenix Foundation Community Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence by providing financial assistance to help them achieve homeownership. As a survivor herself, Erica understands the profound impact that domestic violence can have on one’s sense of self and security. Her mission is rooted in a deep passion to restore the courage, confidence, and strength of women, helping them shed the guilt and shame often associated with abuse. Through the Phoenix Foundation, Erica is committed to offering survivors not just a path to safety, but a foundation for a brighter, empowered future; one where they can rebuild their lives and reclaim their superpower through the stability of homeownership.
The Impact We Make
At Phoenix Foundation Community Care, our impact is measured by the new beginnings we help make possible. We serve survivors of domestic violence who have already taken the courageous step to leave and secure temporary safety and now seek a permanent place to call home.
Through financial assistance for rental deposits or down payment and closing costs, we help survivors move beyond survival and take their next empowered step toward lasting stability, independence, and peace.
Our work is rooted in the belief that every woman deserves to rebuild her life with dignity, safety, and hope. We don’t just offer financial relief; we honor each story, lift each spirit, and walk with each survivor as she reclaims her future.
Every grant given, every family housed, and every new key handed over is a step toward breaking the cycle of violence and building a stronger, more compassionate community; one where healing isn’t just possible, it’s promised.
TOGETHER, WE RISE.
